Sento

SENTO is an interactive audiovisual sculpture in translucent PETG, wired with tactile sensors. It invites participants to explore, through touch, what it means to give, perceive, and respect a signal, however subtle, that keeps an encounter mutually desired.

In Italian, « ti sento » (literally « I feel you ») describes an embodied form of understanding: I perceive you through sight and touch, and so I know who you are. It’s from this intuition that the SENTO series was born, exploring human connection as mediated by technology and art.

SENTO N°1, the first sculpture in the series, reacts to the faintest touch: each gesture triggers a spatialized sound and light response that builds or withdraws depending on the quality of attention given to the other, human or machine.

The experience becomes a training ground for the senses: it sharpens our capacity to notice the signals that precede or accompany consent, signals too often overlooked in everyday interactions. By blurring the line between the real and the virtual, the intimate and the collective, SENTO N°1 turns a social question into an embodied, sensitive experience, played out bare-handed.

Accessible from age 6, alone or with others, in a dark and intimate dedicated space.

This project was born of a reflection on digital intimacy and the new territories of interaction offered by immersive technologies. SENTO explores sensuality and human connections when mediated by digital interfaces.

The work aims to offer a unique multi-sensory experience, accessible to a wide audience, and to democratize immersive technologies. It also questions the way in which touch, transformed into a sound vector, can awaken intimate, poetic emotions.
